AKA ‘That Guy Mike’ – Mike has slowly been building the band into the well oiled machine that you see today. He is a full time musician that brings his manic energy and stage craft to bars around the area 6 nights a week, typically culminating every weekend with The Fuzz. Mike prefers Jameson’s, Coca Cola classic, and dub-steppin. His former projects include area sensation ThatGuy, regional bands such as Liquid A, and Scott’s New Band, and he can be found pretty much any night of the week playing solo acoustic in the best Washington DC / Maryland / VA clubs.
Mandi Meros
Lead VOX - Keys
Thank God Mandi joined the band and restored some sanity to this group of idiots! She’s an incredibly talented singer, keyboardist, performer, and she is an amazing addition to the band. Mandi’s former project in the area was The Reflex, and she has been subbing in for regional acts such as Lauralea and Trip Fabulous, The Congress, as well as sharing the stage with Mr. Greengenes, Hyjinx, and Gonzo’s Nose. Her shot of choice is probably Jager and [FUN FACT TIME] somehow managed to get fired from the marching band color guard in high school (before you ask, yes, we were ALL band geeks in high school, don’t you feel stupid for torturing us??)
Tommy Eng
Bass - Vox
The Northern Virginia journeyman has now found a home with The Fuzz. You may know Tommy from some of the area's hottest bands such as Hyjinx, Scott's New Band, and now The Fuzz!! Tommy brings more to the table than I could even beging to write in this little blurb here, but I will say that he's partial to Irish Car Bombs and The Killers! Ask him about Stairway to Heaven, too, he's got a doosey!!
Matthew Berry
Lead Guitar - Bass - Vox
aka “Congress” – in the prophetic words of David Byrne we all believe Matthew asks himself “Well, how did I get here.” Matthew’s credentials speak for themselves with his Jazz Bass studies at Shenandoah University Conservatory and his resume as a nationally touring bass player and guitarist. Matt began his foray into the Fuzz as our bassist but has now moved into the lead guitarist spot and does a super job. He prefers Glen Levitt single malt scotch, and running for elected office. His previous and current projects include Side FX, Judo Chop, and his acclaimed original project Classified Frequency.
Jack Loercher
Drums - Jokes
After pursuing music degrees in performance and composition at WVU and UMD College park, Jack moved to Los Angeles to play with High or Hellwater. Two short years and an ass load of miles later, the band broke up and Jack moved back to his hometown of B-more MD and quickly got to work with some of the cities finest musicians. Notably, a founding member of 3fifths and most recently the jamtastical Freedom Enterprise. Mostly though, Jack enjoys brown liquors and is a die hard Baltimore Orioles fan. - We're STOKED to have him with us, despite the Orioles fan thing :)
